Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Closing the kitchen to specifications ensuring everything is turned off and ready for the next day.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Perform food handling tasks, ensuring all safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Utilize kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, to prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Support the dietary department by preparing specialized meals as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or as a dietary aide is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety regulations.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary needs.
