Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections safely following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance, tube feeding, ostomy care, and dementia or memory care.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to children, adults or those with disabilities.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases; experience working within hospice & palliative medicine or long-term care settings preferred.
