Who are we hiring?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to join our Pre-Construction team. The ideal candidate will support our operations by ensuring that materials, tools, and equipment are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with vendors, project managers, and site foremen to maintain seamless communication and manage inventory needs.
What you’ll do:
● Interpret construction architectural prints for potential technical problems and consult with architects/engineering to resolve design and installation issues.
● Supervise current projects and coordinate with all team members to keep workflow on track.
● Support Project Managers in all phases of projects from bid to close-out.
● Ensure information from client gets to project managers and from office to field (and vice-versa)
● Generate RFI's, change orders, and submittals.
● Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary
● Manage job dashboards.
● Represent our company in a professional and positive manner with all external vendors, suppliers, architects, Project Managers, owners, and other stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
● Degree/certification in drafting, design, architecture, project management, engineering, or similar field or 2 years of relevant experience.
● Experience with wood, and metal framing.
● High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
● Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases, knowledge of Microsoft and Google.
● Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks.
● Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
● Excellent client-facing and internal verbal and written communication skills.
