Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Handle cash handling duties accurately and responsibly, including balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist with inventory management through stocking and inventory checks
- Engage in effective communication with customers and team members via phone etiquette and face-to-face interactions
- Promote store promotions and special offers to maximize sales potential
- Support the team with basic retail math tasks such as counting stock and calculating totals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
