Summary of Duties
Implements occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Provides occupational therapy to patients, adult or geriatric, who have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling. Performs goal-directed activities to help improve physical or cognitive skills and teaches patients to use assistive devices in order to be more self-sufficient.
Essential Job Functions
Education
Associate Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy and a current license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from the State of Alabama.
Experience
One (1) year experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a hospital setting preferred.
