Summary of Duties
Receive calls and greet visitors. Direct callers and visitors to appropriate individual. Provide secretarial and general office support. Assist in performing purchasing and accounts payable duties.
Essential Job Functions
- Answer telephone; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
- Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room.
- Receive requests from within the facility and locate employees.
- Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of employees, department extensions, key employees, etc.
- Report suspicious persons/information immediately.
- Perform general office duties including typing, answering telephone, maintaining files, photocopying and faxing.
- Complete purchase order request forms as directed.
- Receive invoices and completes payment request forms as directed.
- Make disbursements from and reconcile petty cash as requested and as directed.
- Maintain facility records for purchasing and accounts payable.
- Maintain office supplies, placing orders when needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor, including any special projects.
Education and Experience
High School education or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in multi-line switchboard operation and experience in a customer service related environment required. Minimum one year experience in purchasing, accounts payable or related field preferred.

- Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the work day.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
