What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician - Full Time position at Noland Health Services?
Summary of Duties
Responsible for cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and performing other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
- Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc.
- Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
- Buff floors using floor machine and appropriate pad and finish as needed.
- Refinish floors using proper stripping or scrubbing method as needed or assigned.
- Pick up accumulated trash and place in designated areas for storage and/or removal.
- Clean exit/entrance door areas, to include removing trash and cigarette butts, cleaning glass with cleaner, sweeping mats, etc.
- Clean equipment daily.
- Notify supervisor when repairs to equipment are needed.
- Scrub and clean shower room daily.
- Clean assigned areas, pull trash, sweep, and spot mop floors.
- Remove biohazard containers and properly dispose of them daily.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Comply with policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No experience required. On-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements for Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the work day.
- Must possess the ability to walk, stand, push, pull, bend, lift, and grasp, and fine hand coordination.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance.
- Must be able to push, pull, or move up to 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance.
- Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
