for Construction Trade Companies
Do you light up when a contractor finally sees their numbers clearly and knows exactly what to do next? Do you have the rare ability to sit across from a $5M roofing company owner and help them build a plan that actually sticks?
We're looking for a Business Coach who thrives in the trades. Not someone who wants to observe from the sidelines but someone who rolls up their sleeves, digs into the financials, and helps hardworking business owners build something lasting.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You'll carry a client roster of up to 25 construction trade businesses; painters, landscapers, roofers, general contractors, and more, ranging from $1M to $15M in annual revenue. These are entrepreneurs who are great at their craft but often need a trusted guide to help them run a better business.
You won't just be a sounding board. You'll be an accountability partner, a financial coach, a strategic planner, and sometimes the voice that says "here's what needs to happen next." Your monthly calls will be well-prepared, agenda-driven, and genuinely valuable, clients will look forward to them.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
▸ Lead structured monthly coaching calls; reviewing P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow with each client
▸ Co-create annual business plans, budgets, and 90-day action plans with every client
▸ Hold clients accountable to their Big Rocks and quarterly goals
▸ Identify financial blind spots and help owners understand their KPIs
▸ Facilitate introductions to specialists when deeper expertise is needed
▸ Maintain detailed coaching logs and session notes
▸ Contribute content and lessons learned to the broader team
▸ Participate in weekly team huddles, monthly roundtables, and ongoing coach training

▸ You can read a P&L and balance sheet fluently and explain what they mean to someone who's never studied finance
▸ You've managed people: hired them, developed them, and had the tough conversations when needed
▸ You're organized, proactive, and keep your promises. Every time
▸ You can "take command" of a conversation when a client is stuck or spinning
▸ You're a lifelong learner who reads, listens, and actively grows
▸ You're comfortable with technology: Excel, Google Workspace, and emerging AI tools
▸ You have real-world experience running, owning, or managing a business in or adjacent to the construction trades

▸ 85% of your clients have a documented budget and business plan
▸ Your client NPS scores are consistently 9s and 10s
▸ Clients renew at 80% after year one
▸ Members are growing and they know you're a big part of the why
