Job Summary
Garnet Hotels LLC is currently hiring dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join the Housekeeping Department at Wyndham New Orleans Airport & Conference Center in Kenner, Louisiana.
We are hiring for three positions under one job posting:
- Housekeeper / Room Attendant
- Houseperson / Houseman
- Laundry Attendant
We are looking for motivated team members who take pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred, but we are willing to train candidates with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Available Positions & Responsibilities
1. Housekeeper / Room Attendant
Clean and prepare guest rooms according to Wyndham brand standards.- Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, and guest room surfaces.
- Vacuum, dust, mop, and remove trash from assigned rooms.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing items.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, and lost-and-found items.
- Complete assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
2. Houseperson / Houseman
Maintain cleanliness of hotel hallways, elevators, stairways, lobby areas, and other public spaces.- Assist room attendants by delivering clean linens, towels, and guest supplies.
- Remove trash, soiled linens, and other materials from housekeeping areas.
- Stock and organize housekeeping closets and supply carts.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies when required.
- Respond promptly to guest and housekeeping requests.
- Support cleaning and setup needs for meeting and conference areas.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
3. Laundry Attendant
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels.- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, and excessive wear.
- Maintain proper linen inventory and report shortages or damaged items.
- Distribute clean linens to housekeeping staff as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.
- Follow proper chemical handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Support housekeeping operations during busy periods.
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous hotel housekeeping, laundry, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
- Ability to perform physical duties such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing carts, and handling linens and supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic communication skills and a professional attitude.
