Hours of Operation:
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (The Destrehan Location Closes at 6:00 PM)
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our Destrehan, LA location. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, supporting daily pharmacy operations, and delivering outstanding service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
Prescription Processing & Dispensing
- Accurately enter prescription data into the pharmacy software system
- Prepare, count, and label medications for pharmacist verification
- Process new prescriptions, refills, and transfers in compliance with state and federal regulations
Patient Communication & Customer Service
- Greet patients warmly and provide courteous, professional assistance
- Answer questions regarding prescription status, refills, and basic medication information (within technician scope of practice)
- Contact prescribers for refill authorizations and prescription clarifications
- Handle patient concerns with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
Pharmacy Operations & Support
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications
- Assist with insurance claims processing, including resolving rejections and prior authorization support
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care

Preferred Skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License or Technician Candidate Registration
- Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., boxes of medication or supplies)
- Comfortable working in a moderately busy environment with frequent patient interactions
