The Chef de Cuisine role is a unique position that combines both advanced preparation, station oversight, as well as guest-facing presentation. This requires both high level ability, attention to detail, and strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
· Conduct hands-on teaching and training in the kitchen, working closely with sous chefs, cooks and other staff.
· Assist with food preparation and execution when needed.
· Oversee purchasing and deliveries of all food, disposables and other kitchen-related products.
· Manage production kitchen.
· Train and educate staff on new menu items and changes in procedures for current menu items; monitor and hold staff accountable for implementing the changes.
· Work on special menu requests, creating menus, thinking through logistics, cost and labor.
· Be involved in all tastings and monitor tastings executed by other chefs.
· Meet or exceed standards of NYC Department of Health A grading.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a Michelin rated restaurant preferred
Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a reputable institution
Strong knowledge and skill of advanced cooking techniques
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision and consistency in preparation and presentation
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritise
Advanced communication skills
