How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Design, develop, and optimize UE L2/L3 protocol stack software, including MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, and NAS.
- Implement 3GPP-specified features and enhancements for LTE and 5G NR.
- Analyze and debug L2/L3 layer issues using protocol analyzers and logs.
- Optimize protocol performance and throughput under various network conditions.
- Collaborate closely with PHY, L1, and higher-layer teams for seamless integration.
- Conduct functional and performance testing of L2/L3 protocols using UE simulators and network emulators.
- Stay updated with the latest 3GPP releases and integrate relevant changes.
- Ensure compliance with industry and operator requirements through cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide technical expertise and support to other team members as needed.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in developing and optimizing Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols for 4G/5G UE.
- Strong programming skills in C/C for real-time and embedded systems.
- In-depth knowledge of 3GPP 4G/5G UE protocols, specifically L2 (MAC/RLC/PDCP) and L3 (RRC/NAS).
- Experience with debugging tools like Wireshark, QXDM, and UE log analyzers.
- Familiarity with RTOS/Linux-based development and multi-threaded programming.
- Preferred: Knowledge of 5G SA/NSA network architectures and PHY-MAC interactions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
