What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX/UI & Digital Designer position at Noisy Trumpet Communications?
We’re looking for a UX/UI & Digital Designer who can bridge strategy, design, and user experience to create intuitive, high-performing digital products. This role will lead the design of websites, while also flexing across other digital channels as needed.
You’ll work closely with our account service, digital, content, and development teams to bring websites and digital experiences to life – from early wireframes to final design handoff & development, and campaign-level creative.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
UX Strategy & Planning
- Translate business goals and user needs into intuitive site structures, user flows, and wireframes
- Conduct research, audits, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to define functionality, content hierarchy, and user journeys
UI Design & Execution
- Design visually compelling, on-brand website interfaces (desktop and mobile)
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma
- Ensure consistency across design systems, components, and brand guidelines
Collaboration & Handoff
- Partner with developers to ensure seamless design implementation
- Prepare and organize design files for efficient handoff (component libraries, specs, states)
- Participate in internal reviews and client presentations, articulating design rationale clearly
- QA of builds
Optimization & Performance
- Incorporate SEO, accessibility, and conversion best practices into designs
- Use data, analytics, and user feedback to iterate and improve designs over time
- Support ongoing website updates and enhancements post-launch
Digital Design
Design digital assets across platforms, including:
- Email marketing
- Paid social ads (Meta)
- Display ads
- Video animation a plus

DECISION MAKING
The UX/UI Designer receives limited supervision but works closely with Account Managers, Developers and other designers for content review and approvals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years of experience in UX/UI or web design (agency experience preferred)
- Strong portfolio showcasing website design, UX thinking, and problem-solving
- Proficiency in Figma (including components, prototyping, and design systems)
- Solid understanding of responsive design, UX best practices, and accessibility standards
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic front-end principles (HTML/CSS understanding is a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Asana and Slack a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting
- Occasional nights and weekends may be required for client events or time-sensitive content
