The Hard Coat Technician is part of the Hard Coat department and treats our lenses based on customer requirements. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to learn the operations and progress in the company.
Responsibilities of the Hard Coat Inspector:
Inspector
· Responsible for inspecting and bagging of coated lenses.
· Unloading hard coat racks from the ovens
· Cutting off and inspecting lenses from racks
· Recording of numbers (pass/fail, reason for failure), Tracking identification numbers.
· Complete Machine Operator responsibilities as needed.
Machine Operator
· Responsible for machine (cleanliness, safety, proper procedure)
· Data Recording (temp humidity, solids test, viscosity test)
· Monitoring of hard coat tank
· Loading of molded lenses onto hard coat racks
· Loading racks of lenses into the coating machine
· Taking coated racks from machine and loading them into the oven
· Recognize quality issues and contribute to continual improvements
· Requires operator to be punctual and mindful of their breaks.
· Complete Inspector responsibilities as needed.

· Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse and factory safety procedures
· Ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
· Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
· Must be very detail oriented with the ability to read, write and sort by coded information.
· Must be highly motivated without the need for continuous direction.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
· Warehouse setting
· Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
· Fine motor skills/dexterity
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
