The Expo plays a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff while maintaining accuracy, presentation, and timing of all food leaving the kitchen. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can keep the kitchen running efficiently during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and organize food orders between the kitchen and serving staff
• Ensure all plates are prepared correctly and meet presentation standards before leaving the kitchen
• Check tickets for accuracy and communicate with cooks to ensure timely preparation
• Assist in plating and garnishing dishes when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized expo line during service
• Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
• Ensure food is delivered promptly and accurately to guests
• Assist with quality control to maintain consistency across all dishes
Qualifications:
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent attention to detail and timing
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Skills:
