Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Catering Operations Assistant to join our catering team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth setup, breakdown, transportation, and organization of food and equipment for catered events. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading catering equipment, supplies, and food items
- Transport equipment and food to and from event locations safely and efficiently
- Set up and break down catering stations, buffet lines, and service areas according to event requirements
- Ensure all equipment is organized, clean, and maintained before and after each event
- Support the catering team with on-site logistics, including table arrangements, décor, and supply distribution
- Follow food safety and handling procedures during transport and setup
- Assist with inventory management and organization of catering storage areas
- Communicate effectively with team members, event coordinators, and clients
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Catering Manager
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if transportation is part of the role)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude
- Previous catering, event setup, or warehouse experience is a plus
- Punctuality and professionalism are a must
