Job Summary
We are seeking for reliable and skilled Truck Drivers to join our transportation team for Intrastate operations only (Texas). The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, to deliver freight efficiently and on time. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all driving regulations while providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Requirements

• Must pass road test
• Complete online employment application
• Pass drug test, and in complaince with the clearinghouse
• Minimum of 6 months of flatbed experince
• Minimum English required for an DOT inspection, able to communicate with law enforcement.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks, including but not limited to tractor-trailers, flatbeds, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Assist on Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to schedules.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as per regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by interacting professionally with clients and addressing any concerns.
• Keep truck clean inside and out.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), 2 years minimum required.
• Familiarity with flatbed trailers.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
• Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions or schedules.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
• A commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean driving record.
