What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Nodaway County Sheriff's Office?
Overview
We are seeking a cook. This position would help with making meals and distributing them to inmates throughout the facility. You would work 4- 10 hour shifts per week and every other weekend.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen including taking out the trash or cardboard.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use
- Follow food safety guidelines for handling and storing ingredients
- Do laundry for the facility. Wash, dry and put away.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation procedures
- Experience with food preparation is a plus
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: From $15.25 per hour
