Insurance Agency Account Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable, personable, and motivated individual to join our insurance agency in Wishek, ND.

This is a key position within our agency and an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with people, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work. The person in this role will be an important part of the day-to-day operation of the agency and will serve as a primary point of contact for our customers.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently, building strong customer relationships, and learning the insurance business. This position offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a local, community-focused agency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers
• Provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer service
• Handle day-to-day policy changes, including adding or removing vehicles, updating coverage, changing addresses, and other policy requests
• Assist customers with billing questions, payments, and account needs
• Answer customer questions regarding their insurance policies and coverage
• Write and process new insurance business
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding policy changes, questions, and customer needs
• Maintain accurate customer and policy records
• Follow up with customers and insurance companies as needed
• Identify customer needs and opportunities to provide additional insurance coverage
• Handle general office responsibilities and keep the agency organized
• Work independently while communicating regularly with the agency owner
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers in the community

Qualifications

• Property & Casualty insurance license preferred, but we are willing to train the right person to obtain licensing
• Previous insurance experience is helpful but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional, friendly, and approachable personality
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable learning insurance products, systems, and procedures
• Dependable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information professionally
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn agency software

Pay: $45,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
