MANAGER OF QUALITY AND PRODUCT OPERATIONS

Nocturnal Enterprises LLC
DALLAS, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 8/12/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/12/2026

Role Overview

The Manager of Quality & Product Operations partners directly with the VP of Product and Platform to drive execution across Lido Labs’ product portfolio. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on quality standards, delivery discipline, and the operational health of how work moves from idea to release.

You will own quality strategy across multiple business units and shared platform initiatives, hold internal teams and external vendors to consistent standards, and take on complex, ambiguous problems that span teams. The role has no direct reports at this time and operates with a broad cross-functional mandate.

This is a role for someone who can set standards, build repeatable process, and still get hands on when the work requires it.

What You’ll Do

Quality Leadership

  • Define and evolve QA standards, test strategy, and quality gates across all business units and shared platform initiatives.
  • Establish consistent practices for test planning, regression coverage, defect triage, and release readiness.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external development vendors to ensure quality expectations are clear, measurable, and met.

Technical Scoping and Requirements

  • Scope and write requirements for technical initiatives, turning ambiguous problems into tickets developers can act on without a round of clarifying questions.
  • Define acceptance criteria, dependencies, and edge cases before work starts, in partnership with Product Owners and development vendors.

Product Operations

  • Strengthen the standards that support product delivery, including ticket quality, documentation, and release readiness criteria.
  • Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owners to make delivery more predictable, focusing on the inputs and handoffs that feed the cadence they run.
  • Serve as the first stop for incoming Platform requests, with a documented intake path that routes work to the right owner.
  • Own recurring operational work that has no natural home today and tends to lose to whatever is more urgent that week.
  • Identify friction points in the delivery pipeline and implement durable fixes rather than one-time workarounds.

Incident Response and Observability

  • Act as primary responder for production issues, coordinating triage, communication, and resolution.
  • Own alert coverage and the incident log, including detection timestamps, so response quality can be measured and improved over time.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead and coordinate initiatives that span multiple teams, vendors, and business units.
  • Take ownership of complex, ambiguous problems and drive them to resolution.
  • Represent the VP of Product and Platform in working sessions where appropriate and escalate decisions that require executive input.

Vendor and Partner Coordination

  • Align external development and DevOps partners on quality standards, delivery commitments, and operational practices.
  • Hold vendors accountable to agreed standards and surface risks early.

Process and Framework Development

  • Contribute to the design and rollout of company-wide initiatives such as the sitewide audit framework and the documentation taxonomy.
  • Translate strategic intent into actionable, repeatable processes that teams will actually use.

Measurement and Reporting

  • Define and track the operational and quality metrics that matter, and retire the ones that do not.
  • Give the leadership team clear, concise visibility into delivery health, quality trends, and risk areas.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Significant experience in QA leadership or quality engineering, ideally including time managing QA teams or functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across product, engineering, and operational disciplines.
  • Experience defining test strategy, quality gates, and release readiness criteria in a multi-product or multi-brand environment.
  • Experience writing technical requirements and scoping work for developers, with enough technical depth to break down an ambiguous problem without help.
  • Comfort acting as a first responder on production issues, and working knowledge of observability and monitoring tooling.
  • Track record of improving delivery predictability through process, not heroics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to give leadership a clear read on delivery and quality health.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward execution.
  • Proficiency with Jira or a comparable work management system.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with offshore development and DevOps vendors.
  • Familiarity with modern web stacks such as Next.js, Laravel, and WordPress environments.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive categories.
  • Test automation experience.

Who You Are

  • An operator who raises the standard of everything you touch.
  • A self-starter who does not need to be told what to do next.
  • A clear communicator who can work with developers, Product Owners, vendors, and executives.
  • Someone who runs toward the messy, unowned problems.
  • Pragmatic about process, building only what earns its keep.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Within 90 days, you have a clear picture of quality and delivery health across all verticals and have identified the highest-leverage operational gaps.
  • The measurement baselines that do not exist today are built and in use. Establishing them is part of the job, not a prerequisite for it.
  • Quality standards are consistent, documented, and applied the same way across business units and vendors.
  • Delivery is more predictable, with fewer surprises at release.
  • Defects are caught earlier and escape rates trend down.
  • Leadership has reliable visibility into delivery health without having to ask for it.
  • You become a trusted operator that Product Owners, engineering vendors, and the leadership team rely on.
