Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Worker to join our team in the construction of boat docks and lifts. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of construction techniques and the ability to work in outdoor environments.
Responsibilities:
-NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM
- Must be 18 years of age
- Seasonal y hire until August, with possibility to be hired on after August
- Must have Monday-Saturday availability
- Must be available as early as 7am-6pm. Some days may run longer, depending on the job
-Traveling is required on certain jobs, with overnight stay
- Looking for 28-40hrs a week Full time and Part time
- Must have own travel to and from work
- There will be heavy lifting up to 60lbs without assistance, swimming including holding breath under water, outdoor work in all weather, power tools and ladder work involved. All to be performed in a Safe manner. (Additional job requirements listed in Job description)
- Starting pay is $23 per hour with opportunity for raises
- Benefits package included without medical
-Construct boat docks and lifts according to project specifications
- Install pilings, decking, and other structural components
- Ensure proper alignment and stability of the dock or lift
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fasten materials
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry is required
- Knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Skills:
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Ability to swim
-Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or cranes is a plus
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
