Your Impact
· As a Junior Field Technician, you will:
· Assist in the preventive and corrective maintenance of Level 2 and DC fast charging stations.
· Support troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and communication systems.
· Perform basic tasks such as equipment inspections, component replacements, and site readiness checks.
· Document service activities in our digital ticketing system with accuracy and detail.
· Maintain clean and safe work areas while learning industry-standard best practices.
· Collaborate closely with certified electricians and EVITP technicians to gain hands-on experience.
· Participate in formal training and development programs to grow toward higher technician levels.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections, cleaning, and basic component swaps under supervision.
- Assist with testing procedures such as thermal imaging, continuity checks, and torque verification.
- Support technicians with software/firmware updates and basic networking setup.
- Help with tool organization, PPE use, and site safety compliance.
- Complete required field reporting, time logs, and inventory tracking.
- Actively engage in training to progress toward EVITP certification or higher-level technician roles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a technical, electrical, or mechanical role (preferred); motivated entry-level candidates with strong aptitude will also be considered.
- Demonstrated interest in EV charging, electrical systems, or renewable energy.
- Basic mechanical or electrical skills with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Proficiency using tablets, apps, and digital reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel within assigned service regions.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Capable of being on your feet for most of the workday.
Preferred Experience
- Previous work in electrical, telecom, or infrastructure service fields.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment.
- OSHA 10 or other safety certifications.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Range: $18 – $26 per hour (commensurate with experience)
