The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in large-scale enterprise environments.Key Responsibilities-Install, configure, and upgrade Teradata Database systems.Manage Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT) for data loading and extraction.Perform performance tuning, workload management, and query optimization.Monitor system health, capacity planning, and implement proactive measures.Manage space allocation, user access, and security controls.Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.Implement backup and recovery strategies using Teradata tools.Collaborate with development teams for schema design and query optimization.Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.Required Skills-Strong experience in Teradata Database Administration (5 years).Proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).Expertise in SQL and query optimization.Knowledge of Teradata Workload Management (TASM).Familiarity with Teradata Viewpoint, monitoring, and alerting.Experience with backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting.Preferred Skills-Exposure to Teradata Data Mover, BAR (Backup Archive Restore).Knowledge of cloud-based Teradata solutions.Experience with BI tools and integration.Education-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
