Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Site Support Technician with Audio Visual (AV) experience to provide onsite technical support for end users in a professional office environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, experience supporting IT hardware/software, and basic knowledge of AV technologies. This role also involves asset management, device imaging, live event support, and collaboration with the IT team to ensure seamless technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and end-user devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while resolving technical issues promptly.
- Image, configure, deploy, refresh, and replace Windows computers and other IT devices.
- Manage IT asset inventory, including tracking, auditing, and updating asset records.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, service requests, and resolutions using ServiceNow.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and other office technology.
- Support Microsoft Office applications and standard business software.
- Assist with user account support and general desktop administration.
- Configure and troubleshoot conference room technology and meeting room equipment.
- Set up and support projectors, microphones, speakers, displays, and video conferencing systems.
- Provide technical support during live meetings and events involving AV equipment.
- Troubleshoot audio, video, display, and connectivity issues during meetings.
- Perform basic network and cabling troubleshooting when required.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers while providing detailed documentation.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Maintain IT equipment inventory and ensure devices are properly labeled and tracked.
- Follow organizational IT policies, security standards, and documentation procedures.
- Travel to client locations when required to provide onsite technical support.
- Lift and move IT or AV equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical certifications or relevant coursework are a plus.
- Experience providing onsite IT support in a corporate office environment.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of Audio Visual (AV) equipment and conferencing technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Freshers with a technical education background and at least one year of experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, or similar video conferencing platforms.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and structured cabling.
- Experience with asset management and IT service management tools.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical environments.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT standards.
