Design and implement the vision, goals, and requirements for instructional excellence and the pathway for student academic gains in collaboration with other instructional leadership and the Principal
- Manage content department chairs, grade-level leads, and other mid-level leadership roles
- Oversee the creation of standards-aligned, rigorous curricula that leads to high-quality instruction, and the creation of assessments that effectively measure progress towards academic standards
- Assign, inspect, and offer feedback on all academic deliverables (coaching reflections, planning documents, data-driven instruction cycles, quarterly data analysis, etc.)
- Coach caseload of teachers toward meeting their goals in terms of GPA, P/SAT growth, attendance, NGSS proficiency, AP scores, and student culture
- Plan for each teacher’s growth, support, and development throughout the school year
- Observe and debrief with teachers in regular cycles, using progress toward goals, video/observation evidence, gradebook data, student work, etc.
- Advocate for caseload of teachers within the school by celebrating successes, sharing struggles, and promoting professional growth
- Analyze data, facilitate quarterly data conferences, track progress toward academic goals (including gradebook audits and GPA), and intervene with specific teachers and teams as necessary
- Organize, develop, and deliver on-site high quality professional development
- Coordinate standardized testing and other academic supports
Support with hiring process and onboarding for new teachers

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Active Illinois Teaching License preferred, not required

Compensation for this position falls between $77,000 and $96,000 per year, which represents the average for staff in this role. Factors such as years of experience and skill sets may impact placement within, or outside, this range.
