Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas following food safety procedures
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep to ensure timely service during high-volume periods
- Follow food handling protocols diligently to ensure safety and freshness of all ingredients
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all dishes
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or catering environments preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a high-volume setting
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Excellent food handling skills with attention to detail in food production and presentation
