Maine School Administrative District #60 is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Principal for Noble Middle & High School. The district seeks a candidate who has demonstrated a commitment to leading a talented, student-centered, and mission-driven staff and prioritizing academic excellence. Ideal candidates will possess a deep knowledge of teaching and learning and will have shown success in engaging and inspiring a school community to achieve high levels of academic proficiency. In addition, ideal candidates will have experience cultivating a positive school culture and managing school systems, facilities, budgeting and fiscal process.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other administrators, staff, and community members;
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders;
Exhibit an extensive understanding of school leadership, supervision, and evaluation;
Possess in-depth knowledge of curriculum, curriculum development processes, teaching, and assessment;

Possess the knowledge, skills, and ideologies consistent with standards-based and proficiency-based education practices;
Inspire and motivate staff and students to perform at their highest potential;

Support Noble High School's longstanding commitment to personalized learning through its: (1) school design (school-within-a-school model, heterogeneous grouping, teaming, and common planning time); (2) system of proficiency-based teaching and learning; (3) academic and social supports; and (4) multiple learning pathways.
Applicants must hold appropriate Maine State Certification and a minimum of five years as a teacher and five years of administrative experience.

Noble Middle & High School is located in North Berwick, Maine, and serves the communities of Berwick, North Berwick, and Lebanon. Noble is a 7-12 school with 1,250 students housed in two heterogeneously grouped academies made up of grade-level teams and houses. Our school features student-centered learning, multiple pathways to success, one-to-one technology, a teacher leadership team, a proficiency-based system of teaching and learning, performance-based assessments, student-led conferences, and a final student capstone presentation.
