What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School French & Spanish Teacher position at Noble Middle and High School?
This position will be a member of our middle & high school World Language team. The successful candidate will be teaching sections of Spanish I, and French I working with students in grade 8. Noble Middle & High School is located in North Berwick, Maine, and serves the communities of Berwick, North Berwick, and Lebanon. Noble is a 7-12 school with 1275 students housed in heterogeneously grouped academies made up of grade-level teams and houses. Our school features student-centered learning, multiple pathways to success, one-to-one technology, a teacher Leadership Team, a proficiency-based system of teaching and learning, multiple performance-based assessments, student-led conferences, and a final capstone called Senior Project.
Strong candidates will possess the knowledge, skills, and ideologies consistent with the philosophies and practices of standards and proficiency-based educational systems. A clear understanding of the connection between curriculum, instruction, and assessment is required.
Job Requirements:
Degree Preferred: Master’s Degree
Experience Preferred: Three years or more
Work Eligibility: Citizenship, residency, or work VISA required
Additional Requirements: Maine World Language Spanish teacher certification (440). CHRC or ability to obtain.
