Front of House Team Member

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations within our vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in customer interaction, food handling, and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems
• Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front-of-house area, including bussing tables and cleaning workstations
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met
• Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
• Support team members in various tasks to ensure efficient restaurant operations

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, food handling, or restaurant service preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately and efficiently
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a quick service or fast-food environment
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in café, retail store, grocery store, or food industry is advantageous

Pay: $10.25 - $13.25 per hour
