Senior Accounting Manager (Remote)

Location: Remote (Office is based in Selma, AL)
Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt

Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment? We're looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of a growing nonprofit organization that's making a lasting impact in its community.

What You'll Do

As Senior Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in financial reporting. You'll:

• Manage payment processing and account reconciliations

• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing

• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit preparation

• Help with reports, filings (1099s, 990s), and other special projects

• Collaborate closely with the Finance Director to strengthen fiscal operations

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)

• Experience: 3–4 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced or growing organization

• Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles

  • Advanced Excel and solid MS Office skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup

  • Strong communication and teamwork

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
