Location: 601 Wilmington St, Beaufort, SC, 29902 (Beaufort County Health Department)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Friday (8:30AM-5:00PM)
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, chairs, and fixtures.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Refill restroom supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as hallways and lobbies.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues.
- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to handle basic maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Good communication skills.
- Dependability and reliability.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- A valid driver's license.
- Background check and references required.
