Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Cooks to prepare, cook, and serve meals at youth-serving facilities. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen helpers, maintaining food safety standards, preparing special dietary meals, and completing required documentation.
Key Duties:

Cook and serve meals per recipes and dietary guidelines

Supervise and train kitchen staff

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas

Operate commercial kitchen equipment

Ensure meals are ready on schedule, including early breakfasts and packed lunches

Monitor inventory and complete production paperwork

Support youth cooking programs as needed
Qualifications:

NYC Food Protection Certificate (required)

1 year of commercial/institutional cooking experience

Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen equipment

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Experience in youth or residential facilities preferred
Location: Facility-Based (Various Sites in NYC)
Schedule: 7 Days a Week (Flexible Shifts)
Salary : $21 - $25
