NHHRC, in partnership with Compunel, is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in high-performance building design and construction. This role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects focused on clean, resilient, and carbon-neutral-ready buildings. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strong project management capabilities to successfully manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a pipeline of architecture and design projects within technical assistance programs
- Conduct technical reviews of project proposals and deliverables
- Analyze project data to identify energy savings opportunities and financial impacts
- Track projects, deliverables, and invoices within internal systems
- Collaborate with architects, designers, developers, and stakeholders to support program goals
- Support program strategy through market research on carbon-neutral and zero-emission building trends
- Identify and develop high-impact projects for case studies and program promotion
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to highlight program outcomes
- Participate in project meetings and stakeholder engagement activities
- Identify new partnership opportunities to expand program reach
- Contribute to continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of architectural and engineering design, building systems, and construction practices for clean, resilient, and carbon-neutral-ready projects
- Understanding of residential building typologies, including single-family and multifamily housing
- Familiarity with the construction industry, building innovation, and financial considerations for developers and building owners
- Knowledge of energy-efficient equipment and renewable energy systems
- Working knowledge of Passive House, LEED, and similar design standards and certifications
- Experience managing projects, including tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables
- Ability to effectively facilitate and lead meetings with diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication skills when working with architects, designers, contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Bachelor's degree required (preferred fields: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, Energy, or related discipline)
- High-performance or technical training in sustainable building practices preferred
- Demonstrated experience in project management within the design, construction, or energy sector
