What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistente Eletricista position at Noble Drilling Services Inc.?
The Electrician Asst. is considered to be an entry level position within the Electrical Maintenance group. Support maintenance efforts which comply with regulatory and other relevant standards. Provide technical support for electrical systems to ensure achievement of rig efficiency and client objectives. Provide specific focus on systems that will keep maintenance operations running effectively and avoid down time. Assist the Electrician or Sr. Electrician with effective maintenance procedures and ensure that the Noble Maintenance System is effectively utilized. Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Recognized trade qualification from technical college/apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
- 1 years of electrical maintenance experience or formal electrical training.
- Completion of all training requirements for the position within designated time period.
- Understanding and use of the Noble Maintenance System.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of more senior electrical staff:
- Ensure that maintenance schedules are completed accurately and within the scheduled timeframe to keep backlog of work and rig downtime due to equipment failure to a minimum.
- Ensure the preventative maintenance system is carried out as per equipment maintenance procedures.
- Ensure risk assessments are utilized for non-routine operations.
- Confirm that hand-over logs have relevant information for the safe and efficient running of the operations.
- Ensure that material requisitions accurately reflect the desired materials and/or services.
- Follow-up any action plans and outstanding audit points to completion.
- Ensure entries on permits, isolation tags and unit logbooks accurately reflect the status of equipment.
- Ensure that all reports and records are completed in a timely manner and are accurate and legible.
- Review procedures on a regular basis and make recommendations to amend as required.
- Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.
- Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL
- Implement and uphold Noble's safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all operations proceed in a safe manner. Correct and notify responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.
- Encourage and motivate personnel to observe safety and environmental policies and all intended and implied requirements of Noble's Management System.
- Responsible for familiarizing and adhering to Noble's Live Safe Code for the purpose of promoting a zero-incident and no-harm workplace.
- Responsible for familiarizing and utilizing Noble's Hazard Identification Tool to manage risk created by various energy sources found in the workplace.
- Attend and actively participate in daily pre-tour and weekly safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements established in Noble's Management System.
- Initiate a safety stand down whenever an unplanned hazard or change in the expected results is observed.
- Perform all Safety Critical Tasks as detailed in the HSE Case.
- Incorporate the STOP the job planning process into all tasks, whether working alone or as part of a team.
- Take the initiative to perform emergency duties without specific orders or instruction.
- Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis and prepare hazard assessments as required.
- Responsible for compliance with all government regulations.
