CAD/BIM Instructor (Full Time) - NYC
We are a private training school specializing in tech and design education for adult career changers. We're looking for an in-person, full-time instructor to lead our CAD/BIM classes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive CAD/BIM instruction to students.
- Provide guidance and support to students with varying levels of experience in design and drafting software.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid in their development.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously update course materials to reflect the latest advancements in CAD and BIM technologies.
- Utilize classroom experience to effectively communicate complex concepts and facilitate hands-on learning activities.
You should have proficiency in all of the following, as well as the ability to teach it to people without prior experience in the platforms or topics:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- 3D modeling and rendering concepts
- Drawing and editing tools
- Sheets, views, and plotting
- Families, components, and schedules in BIM workflows
- Construction documentation standards
Nice to have but not required:
- SketchUp
You should also:
- Have at least three years of teaching experience in the subject matter
- Be available to teach cohorts running weekdays (10am-5pm EST) at our midtown Manhattan facility, as well as self-paced online cohorts
- Be proficient in teleconferencing software such as Zoom
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
