Position Summary:
The Supervisor, Academy & Adult Services oversees the day-to-day operations of The Academy and Adult Services programs at Tommy Nobis Center, which deliver vocational training, education, and employment support services for young adults and adults with disabilities.
This is a leadership role that manages daily service delivery — initially provided in a classroom environment with transition to community-based internships and employment with wrap-around support services to retain employment — and supervises the team of Employment Specialists, the Academy Instructor, and a Paraprofessional. This role is also responsible for coordinating services with participants, families, and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversees the daily operations of the Academy and Adult Services programs delivered on-site and within the community, from time of application/acceptance/referral to successful employment placement, and 90-days to 6-months post-employment coaching.
2. Responsible for delivery of services and day-to-day scheduling of the Employment Specialists, Instructor, and Paraprofessional to ensure services are provided at the highest level of quality.
3. Responsible for acquiring service authorization and maintaining adequate reporting records for each participant receiving authorized services.
4. Ensures participant case notes and monthly status reports are prepared and submitted timely by the Instructor, Employment Specialists, and Paraprofessional, utilizing Vertex to report and record documentation of services delivered for billing purposes.
5. Stewards excellent customer service and positive, productive relationships with community partners, i.e., participants, parents, and GVRA
6. Responsible for day-to-day management of staff including timecard entries, approving employee payroll and mileage, and annual performance evaluations.
7. Supports the monthly billing process by coordinating with the Programs Manager, Accounting, and program staff to ensure services are properly authorized and billed accurately and timely.
8. Assists in creating and sustaining a positive Academy culture, Alumni Network, and participant
experience.
9. Maintains accurate records for data metrics and demographic tracking.
10. Educates the community regarding the Academy and Adult Services programs.
11. Is a cultural ambassador for the organization fostering an environment of trust, alignment, transparency, and accountability.
12. Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
