Job Summary
The Feed Production Technician supports all phases of feed production, including receiving ingredients, batching, mixing, packaging, loading and maintaining the facility and grounds. This position works as part of the production team to complete customer orders safely, accurately and on schedule.
Position Responsibilities
Production Team:
Operate and support feed-manufacturing processes, including batching, mixing and packaging
Receive inbound ingredients and safely load finished products for outbound delivery
Accurately weigh, batch and document ingredients according to production instructions
Clean and maintain production equipment, warehouse areas, plant facilities and grounds
Follow Nobis Agri Science's quality-assurance procedures for ingredient receiving, production, packaging, load-out and storage.
Follow all company safety requirements, operating procedures and departmental policies
Maintain accurate production, inventory and quality-control records
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required
Experience:
One year of experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing or another physical-labor role
Agricultural, feed-mill or related industry experience preferred
Forklift operation and warehousing experience preferred
Other:
Minimum 18 years of age required
Right to work in the U.S.
Reliable attendance
Be physically able to perform the job duties including bending, stooping, shoveling, sweeping, pounding with hammers, climbing stairs and ladders, opening and closing valves, lifting up to 60 lbs., extended driving/riding/maneuvering of forklifts

Work Environment: This is a physical job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments.
Working Hours: Shifts may vary depending on the needs of the company. Occasional weekend work may be needed. Must be flexible to work any shift to support Company needs.
Physical Demands: This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces. You may also be required to ride a belt man lift and occasionally work at significant heights, with requisite balance and equilibrium. This position requires walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting. It may be noisy and dusty at times.
You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 60 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, and respiratory protection and ear protection as appropriate.
This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and memos, and to communicate clearly with your co-workers and supervisors. It is important to have vision that permits close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. If you are grading grain, the ability to identify and distinguish colors is also important.
