The Quality Technician must exhibit strong organizational skills and be able to work well under pressure. You must be able to identify non-conformance products and processes.
Schedule: 10 am- 7pm
Pay: $21.63 - $24.03 / hour
POTENTIAL TO EARN MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY BONUSES!
Role & Responsibilities:
- Performs daily inspections, and other tasks to determine conformity of materials.
- Ensures that products meet Nobelus quality requirements, as well as customer requirements.
- Assists with maintaining and calibrating on-site testing equipment and measuring devices.
- Assists the Quality Manager and Quality Coordinator with supplier-related issues.
- Manages the non-conformance quarantine area.
- Assists with the Quality Management System, Food Safety System, and safety audits.
- Reviews the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Problem solving and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist the QC Manager and Quality Coordinator with the disposition of returned products.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years minimum related quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mathematical aptitude required with a good background in measurement skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Proficient with Outlook
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic lean principles
- Capable of effectively working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with printing or lamination films preferred
- Experience with Food Safety preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to traverse the production facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience writing and following SOP’s.
- Product inspection against inspection standards
- Detail-oriented
- Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
- Understands the principles of ISO standards or BRC/SQF standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong documentation skills
- Accountable and responsible
