As a Construction Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, manage subcontractors and crew members, and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to project plans and schedules
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and suppliers to maintain workflow efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications
- Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or ProCore to meet deadlines
- Enforce safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety inspections on-site
- Monitor project budgets and control costs through effective resource management and procurement strategies
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Collaborate with project managers on contract administration, change orders, and progress reporting
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting and ensure proper use of construction estimating software like HeavyBid
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, safety logs, inspection records, and progress updates
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices, including project scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3, ProCore, or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety
- Experience working with contracts, change orders, and project documentation processes
- Skilled in using tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting electrical systems on-site
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively, supervise subcontractors, and foster a positive work environment
