Shelter / Hotline Coordinator
General Description: The Shelter/Hotline Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the shelter and crisis line office. This includes managing a team of Crisis Line Advocates, Weekend Crisis Line Advocates, and PRN Advocacy staff, including offering guidance, assistance, and directives to staff, as well as recruiting, managing, and training new staff. Monthly on-call rotation and occasional holiday coverage required.

Essential Job Functions – 10% SAPCS
- Ensure that departmental records, data entry, and paperwork are completed for sexual assault victims accurately.
- Receive crisis calls and provide immediate crisis intervention for all victims of sexual assault.
- Complete intake and exit interviews and complete all required documentation for sexual assault clients.
- Assist sexual assault victim’s immediate needs and refer them to appropriate resources, or utilize Noah Project resources.
- On-call accompaniment for SANE exams as needed
Essential Job Functions – 90%
- Hiring, training and management of Crisis Line Advocates, Weekend Crisis Line Advocates, and Advocacy PRNs
- Scheduling crisis line staff to ensure adequate coverage of 24/7 crisis line and back office
- Approval of time-off requests, while ensuring staff coverage
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to provide crisis line coverage as needed
- Task management of interns and volunteers as needed
- Ensure that departmental records, data entry and paperwork are completed accurately.

- Receive crisis calls and provide immediate crisis intervention for all victims of domestic violence, dating violence and sexual assault.
- Complete intake and exit interviews and complete all required documentation on residents and non-residents clients.
- Assist residents in settling into shelter, room and providing a tour.
- Assist clients’ immediate needs and refer them to appropriate resource, or utilize Noah resources.
- Control access to the facility by residents, non-residents and visitors, oversee the security system and follow all security procedures.
- Complete documentation, data/statistical entry and any other required paperwork on a timely basis to include maintaining client and administrative files.
- Ensure residents are following shelter guidelines and responsibilities.
- Process in-coming and outgoing mail.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Additional duties as assigned as necessary
Job Requirements
- Possesses a bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with underserved populations
- Has knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures or is willing to be trained on those skills.
- Possesses knowledge and proficiency in general office procedures.
- Is willing to work in stressful conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Maintain professional and ethical boundaries with all clients.
- Works well with minimal supervision.
- Supervisor approval of outside employment is required due to on-call nature of this position.
Salary: $50,000 annually
