Position Summary
The Receptionist/Legal Assistant is the first point of contact for clients, callers, and visitors. This role manages phones, scheduling, client intake, document organization, and simple drafting using templates. No legal background required — we will train.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors and manage front-desk flow
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls professionally
- Take clear, detailed, and actionable messages
- Schedule meetings, consultations, and follow-ups
- Draft short letters, emails, and forms from templates
- Scan, organize, label, and maintain digital and physical files
- Sort, distribute & prepare mail and deliveries
- Maintain reception, conference room & common areas
- Protect confidential information at all times
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and staff
Qualifications
Required
- Professional communication — written & verbal
- Strong grammar, spelling, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable with routine tasks
- Ability to learn new systems and follow procedures
- Calm, courteous, and client-service oriented
Preferred but not necessary
- Reception, office, customer service, banking, or admin experience
- Experience managing calendars or scheduling
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, email, and basic office technology
No legal experience required — training provided.
