About Us
No Makeup Makeup® is a fast-growing DTC clean beauty brand built for women who believe Less is Best. We're looking for a Direct Response Creative Strategist who understands that creative is the biggest lever for profitable growth, not just content production.
What This Role Is
You will own the ad creative strategy, testing infrastructure, and performance analysis for paid social across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels. You'll work directly with performance, social media, and creative teams to build ads that drive purchases at scale.
This is a revenue-driving role evaluated on hard metrics: CPA, ROAS, CVR, hook rate, hold rate, and spend efficiency. If those words make you uncomfortable, this role is not for you.
What You'll Own
Creative Strategy & Testing
Build a weekly testing roadmap across hooks, angles, formats, offers, and messaging
Develop concepts for video, static, UGC, founder-led, testimonial, problem-solution, comparison, and advertorial-style ads
Identify winning creative patterns and systematize them into repeatable frameworks
Maintain a creative angle bank and naming taxonomy that makes testing learnings transferable
Performance Analysis
Diagnose why ads win or fail across the full funnel: hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS, AOV, and fatigue signals
Translate performance data into clear next actions: scale, pause, iterate, or rebuild
Partner closely with performance team so creative strategy is anchored in what the data is actually saying
Creative Briefing & Production
Write detailed briefs for creators, editors, and influencers with clear hooks, scripts, visual structure, claims, and CTAs
Every brief has a measurable hypothesis, not just a concept
Create multiple variations from winning creative to extend performance and fight fatigue
Ensure creative-to-landing-page alignment on every asset
Customer & Market Research
Mine reviews, comments, Meta Ad Library, TikTok, Amazon reviews, and competitor creative for customer language and buying triggers
Turn real customer objections and motivations into ad messaging
Stay current on DR creative trends in beauty, skincare, wellness, and DTC
Requirements
3 years in direct response creative strategy, growth creative, or paid social
Proven track record working against CPA, ROAS, CVR, and CAC targets
Strong writing skills: hooks, scripts, headlines, creator briefs
Deep understanding of conversion psychology, objection handling, social proof, and offer structure
Analytical enough to interpret paid media data and translate it into creative decisions
Experience with Meta Ads and TikTok Ads at meaningful spend levels
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with beauty brands, beauty products, skincare, cosmetics, or luxury/DTC beauty strongly preferred
Familiarity with Triple Whale, Motion, Foreplay, Replo, or similar tools
Experience with VSLs, advertorials, quiz funnels, and offer testing
Experience managing or directing creators and editors
