Overview
The Load Supervisor & Shuttle Van Driver plays a key role in daily auto transport operations by overseeing vehicle loading activities, coordinating yard flow, and ensuring safe, efficient movement of units. This position also provides shuttle transportation to drivers as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, safety‑focused, and comfortable balancing hands‑on supervision with driving responsibilities. Due to changing customer demand, there will sometimes be weekends, and extended hours required to support drivers.
Load Supervision & Yard Operations
- Oversee the safe loading and unloading of vehicles onto and off of auto transport trucks, ensuring safety, and compliance with customer and company standards.
- Maintain stock/manage inventory of supplies to ensure drivers have everything they need
- Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and other yard personnel to maintain efficient workflow and minimize delays.
- Inspect vehicles prior to loading for damage, cleanliness, and proper documentation.
- Verify load sheets, VIN numbers, and destination information to ensure correct placement and routing.
- Direct and assist drivers during loading to ensure proper tie‑downs, weight distribution, and securement procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free yard environment.
- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
Shuttle Van Driving
- Safely operate a company shuttle vehicle to transport drivers to vehicles or other designated locations.
- Provide professional, courteous service.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle and report any issues.
- Follow all traffic laws, customer policies, company policies, and safety protocols.
Administrative & Communication Duties
- Escalate issues to upper management that need to be addressed.
- Audit drivers in proper loading/unloading procedures and safety expectations.
- Support general yard operations and special projects assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in auto transport, logistics, or yard operations preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Auto Transport driver experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of vehicle loading, securement, and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate shuttle vehicles and maneuver vehicles in tight yard environments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and walking long distances.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
