Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to pick up and deliver medical items across designated routes within the Phoenix Metro area
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining proper documentation for each shipment
- Handle medical supplies with care, adhering to safety protocols and confidentiality standards at all times
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical concerns immediately
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving stock, organizing supplies, and preparing shipments for delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably within a medical or logistics environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
- Familiarity with route driving in urban settings like Phoenix Metro area
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely, including moving boxes or medical equipment using manual techniques or equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including loading/unloading procedures and inventory management
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus but not required; training can be provided for qualified candidates
