Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Clerk to join our administrative team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate insurance records, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills, proficiency with office management software, and experience in customer support environments. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse clients. Duties

  • Manage and update insurance files and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist clients with insurance inquiries via phone, email, or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Handle data entry tasks using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks for record keeping and billing purposes
  • Support front desk operations including greeting visitors and managing multi-line phone systems
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for insurance agents or management staff
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, proofreading documents, and maintaining organized office records
  • Support office management functions including bookkeeping, calendar management, and general administrative support
  • Provide customer support by addressing questions related to insurance policies and claims processing

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in office management, clerical work, or administrative roles within an insurance or medical setting preferred
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, QuickBooks, and data entry skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse client base
  • Experience with front desk duties, multi-line phone systems, and customer service is preferred
  • Attention to detail for proofreading documents and maintaining accurate records
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist, medical receptionist, or personal assistant is advantageous
  • Knowledge of office equipment operation including filing systems and office software applications

This position provides an opportunity to be a key part of our administrative team while developing valuable skills in insurance administration and office management.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
