What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lean Value Stream Operations Manager position at NN, Inc - USA?
Step into a day leading a precision manufacturing value stream
You start on the production floor at Autocam, a division of NN, Inc. After a quick safety walk and a glance at the value stream’s performance dashboard, you host a short stand-up with team leads. Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Logistics join to align on customer orders, quality metrics, and the day’s priorities. A customer updates delivery expectations—no problem. You coordinate cross-functional support, adjust the plan, and communicate the path forward to keep on-time delivery and quality on target.
Midday, you facilitate an area meeting to surface improvement ideas and coach problem-solving. You review manufacturing systems data to understand cost drivers, labor utilization, and throughput, then translate those insights into actions. A new program is launching, so you connect with the project start-up team to ensure equipment, documentation, and training are ready. Before the day closes, you provide timely feedback to associates, recognize great performance, and log follow-ups for performance reviews. Throughout, you sustain a safe, healthy work environment and uphold OSHA, QMS, and EMS requirements.
