Your Day-to-Day
You’ll own a designated value stream from end to end—aligning people, processes, and performance to keep commitments on quality and delivery. Each day, you’ll orchestrate support from purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics; host standups to unblock teams; and translate manufacturing data into insights that improve cost and flow. You will serve as the single point of contact for customer delivery and quality concerns tied to your area, ensuring rapid, clear communication and resolution.
What You’ll Lead
- Accountability for an assigned production area’s output, delivery timeliness, and quality performance—consistent with NN, Inc.’s operating system.
- Cross-functional coordination (purchasing, engineering, QA, logistics) to secure resources, escalate issues, and meet area goals.
- Regular area meetings and kaizen-style initiatives that drive continuous improvement and cost awareness through manufacturing systems data.
- Team engagement through mentoring, clear communication, performance feedback, and on-time reviews.
- Safety stewardship—maintaining a safe, healthy workplace in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
- Management of KPIs such as headcount, labor cost, and on-time delivery, with analysis that informs corrective actions.
- Leadership and support for project start-ups within the value stream.
- Adherence to and advocacy for the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
Supervisory Scope
Manage, train, direct, and evaluate the team within your production area, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws, including OSHA regulations.
What You Bring
- BA/BS in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- 5 years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluency in English with the ability to interpret technical documents and present to varied audiences (internal teams and external customers).
- Strong applied math skills, including statistical analysis, cost calculations, and data interpretation; comfort reading production data and graphs.
- Structured problem solving—define issues, collect data, identify defects, draw valid conclusions, and implement practical countermeasures using production reports and metrics.
- Physical capabilities: stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 30 lbs; visual acuity for near and far tasks, color differentiation, and depth perception (vision correction permitted within safety guidelines).
