Position Details

Position Title: Natural Resources Policy Plan Analyst Intermediate

Target Hourly/Salary Rate: Entry level annual salary is $53,165.80. Offer commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0

FLSA Status: Exempt

Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is NOT a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon funding

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team involved in public policy and planning related to protection, conservation, and restoration of New Mexico’s agricultural and natural resources including areas of focus related to water quantity, water quality, soil health, rangeland health, endangered species, noxious weeds, and soil and water conservation. Position may include a focus on water resources policy and planning.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree 2 years of relevant experience.

Equivalent Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity and experience with the water resource management and policy relevant to New Mexico.

Special Certification/Licensure

A cover letter and unofficial transcripts are required.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
