Description of environment: Pioneer Home: This is an industrial kitchen located in an Assisted Living setting.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
As part of the onboarding process for this contract you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).

The Utility Worker position performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving area
Responsibilities
- Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
- Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner.
- Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines.
- Stocks storage areas with various products.
- Cleans, sweeps, wipes down, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases), spike rooms, and equipment as well as all floors.
- Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines, etc.
- Delivering Food Carts and distributing trays to dining area.
- Assists with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
- Assists cooks and others as needed and coordinates one’s own activities with other’s.
- May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
- Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have Food Handlers Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
- The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
- This contract requires employees to have the following immunizations: TB. The successful candidate must be able to provide immunization records for all of this and/or be willing to take the vaccination if offered the job
- Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
- A valid driver’s license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
- At least six (6) months of related food service experience.
