Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain light- to medium-duty diesel vehicles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working independently while following shop procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, and emissions systems
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting (starting, charging, sensors, modules)
- Service cooling systems, EGR, DPF, DEF, and exhaust aftertreatment systems
- Perform routine maintenance: oil services, filters, brakes, suspension, and driveline
- Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations in Shop-Ware
- Road test vehicles to verify repairs and quality control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all shop policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Communicate clearly with service writers regarding vehicle status and repair needs
Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on diesel technician experience (light to medium duty)
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with diesel emissions systems (EGR, DPF, DEF)
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Own tools required (specialty tools a plus)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- ASE Diesel certifications preferred (not required, but a plus)
